Negative Significant: learning his destiny
Won Day 70
Form: an eyeball hackey sack [remaining: 3/5; shared with Macaron]
[Video reference: 14:08-16:10, but please note that as the video is from Chibi's perspective, it's incomplete.]
Summary
Kurow and Chibi are traveling along, when suddenly Kurow's moon-shaped pendant starts glowing brightly. When he pulls it out, it beams a moon-shaped beam of light up to his forehead to transmit a message directly into his head.
Now. The game is from Chibi's perspective, so we don't actually get to see the specifics of this message! But given details that are stated later and the magic of headcanon, here is a description of the details:
First of all, the person who delivers the news to him in the message is this man:

His name is Waka, and he's a prophet from the Moon Tribe. Does he look familiar? He should, because Kurow is a doll, and Waka's clone. A near perfect copy, save for his youth and some minor but important genetic modifications.
See, Waka saw Akuro coming, and saw that there was only one way to defeat him: a doll would have to be created that was specifically designed to seal Akuro, lure Akuro into possessing it, and then someone would have to kill them both. That doll is Kurow. His mission, his destiny, is to get possessed by Akuro and be killed, therefore killing Akuro as well and ridding the world of his evil.
Let me stress: This is the only way to beat Akuro and save the world.
Naturally, these revelations are incredibly upsetting, to the point where Kurow collapses to his knees shaking. He comments that there's no way he's going to fulfill a mission like that, and when Chibi questions him, he just pulls on his wings and flies away, deciding that he has a lot of thinking to do by himself that Chibi can't help him with.
What He Learns
☽ I AM WHAT AND YOU WANT ME TO WHAT????????
☽ And this is probably why he's in Decollage.
Notes
SO THIS IS KUROW'S WORST MEMORY. :')
It may not look like much, but it's really the one memory that seriously breaks his entire world view. He's not his own person, he's a clone. A doll. A soulless copy whose sole purpose is to die. But he doesn't want to die. But that's the only way to save the world.
The fallout from this one will be interesting.
...Also I might essay on Waka later because he's a fascinating subject.
Incidentally, I can bring up two mythology references here.
1. Minamoto no Yoshitsune is an important warrior in Japanese history who's had countless tales told about him. His childhood name was Ushiwakamaru, and his legal alias was Kurou. Both Waka and Kurow are based on him.
2. There's a little legend I found, about how there was once a monster that wanted to eat the sun, and so the gods created the first crow, who sacrificed itself by flying into the monster's mouth and choked it to death. I just figured it was appropriate to share.
